Saw Pan's Labyrinth with some folks from work tonight. Good stuff. The theater was crowded, so we had to sit too close for me. I practically had to turn my head to go back and forth between the subtitles and the center of the screen, so I probably didn't get the full experience. The movie is shocking and beautiful and disturbing and possibly uplifting but I'm not quite sure. Went out for some food afterwards and the conversation focused on fascism and other totalitarian regimes.
One of the previews was for a movie about a guy obsessed with the number 23.
Last night, I was remembering how a comet featured in the movie Wimbledon (a cheesy but not too bad romantic comedy about tennis players) that I watched the other day. Funny how there's a comet out there now, I thought. Hmm, that one's name is McNaught. Doesn't sound romantic. Naught, as in nothing. Zero. Oh, hmm, zero is "love" in tennis. I chuckled at that.

I saw that Number 23 trailer too. looks cool. def. a different vibe than Pan's, but looks like it's the goods.
